To My Friend, Rick Garton

Thank You, Rick!

Thirty plus years ago when I was working for a bareboat charter service I met Rick Garton, one of the boat owners, who would eventually become my business partner.  We formed a partnership that has lasted over 32 years. He recently retired from HarborView Yacht Sales, our latest joint venture.  He is currently enjoying a boating lifestyle, summering in northern Michigan on his Sea Ray while spending the winter months in southern Florida on his Krogen Express. I cannot begin to thank him enough for his friendship, the years of mentoring and the support he has provided to me over the years – opportunities I would not otherwise have experienced.  I gained a wealth of knowledge traveling the West Coast, Eastern Seaboard, Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean with Rick and his family.  With that said, I’d like to extend a very heartfelt “Thank You” to Rick, for all he has done for me over the years.

Happy boating Rick!

  • The first thing I noticed about Bill was that he was not a high pressure saleman with a silky smooth FM radio sales pitch. He simply asked me what I was looking for, why I wanted the type of sailboat I did and what I had sailed before. In talking further to Bill his deep background in all types of boats became apparent. – Bob Tolpa
  • I think that you went above and beyond what I would expect from a yacht broker or sales person especially helping me to get my boat down my new homeport. I found you very prompt and thorough with any questions I had regarding my new boat. – Jim Wasson
  • I had full confidence in boat broker Bill Allgaier – Within a a day or two he visited my boat at the marina where it was docked and took multiple photos of the boat. Less than a week later he had a buyer and secured a down payment the same day. The boat sold for the full asking price.. – Jack Klang
